Member Pheasant Hunt

On Saturday, Eric, Scott, and Scott's son Ronan hit the woods for the PA Game Commission's Junior Pheasant Hunt. Eric's dog Winston did most of the work, but Scott and Eric played a little bird dog as well. Like last year, Ronan was able to bag a bird. He had a little mishap with a stick to the foot and that required a quick trip to the ER but before that, the hunting portion of the day was really fun for all. Winston was one sore and tired dog, and I think the two big human bird dogs were as well. It was a great day in the field, and the number of birds made for lots of flushes and exciting wing shooting. As an added bonus, although they are not in for the season, we flushed a beautiful Woodcock as well.
