Dark Skies Fly Fishing - New York State Fly Fishing Guide

I met the creator of this website / magazine at a Trout Unlimited meeting. Ralph has done a great job creating these resources. Recently he sent out an email regarding a.series of state by state fly fishing guides that I thought might be of interest to our membership.

Hi Everyone,

One of the features of our newly-designed website is our state pages. Over the years, we've written and published articles about dozens of destinations throughout the region. These state pages better organize the content relating to each specific state.

One that we put a lot of work into the past couple months is New York. For this, I have to give a huge shoutout to two of our regular contributors who are also Empire State natives:

  • Rob Streeter who wrote the original fly fishing guide to New York back in 2000, which was the first guidebook ever published on fishing New York waters. Also check out his new book The Great Fly Fishing Road Trip: Finding the DIY Adventures of a Lifetime available to purchase on his website.

  • Aaron Hardy who lives and guides in the Adirondacks. Aaron has written several articles about the Adirondacks for the magazine and you can now read some of his work on our website, too.

Find Your Next Destination
